Great spot for the beginners. A beach break  with sloping mellow waves that's great for surfing with a funboard. 

Afterwards head out to the local favorite Lola’s Mexican Market for good, cheap hole-in-the-wall style Mexican food after your surf day. Tons of surf shops to chose from.
